Green tea contains polyphenols which include catechins, theaflavins, and tannins that can reduce free radicals in the body. I don’t like bad breath, do you? Catechin—a healthful nutrient in green tea has other beneficial properties like impeding the growth of streptococcus mutans which is harmful bacteria in the mouth that causes inflammation, tooth decay, and that nasty odor we call bad breath.
